It’s the summer of 1981, and 13-year-old Casey just wants to finish her mixtape. Instead, she’s stuck at her grandparents’ house in small-town Texas where nothing feels familiar. With only her skateboard, a jambox, and a lot of determination, Casey discovers that even the most unexpected summer can change everything.

 

This is a throwback film set in a simpler time before the Internet or smartphones dominated daily life. And it was inspired by and produced in the spirit of our favorite ’80s coming-of-age classics.

The movie stars PRESLEY RICHARDSON (Disney's Pretty Freakin Scary), JULIAN HILLIARD (Wandavision), BRAD LELAND (Friday Night Lights), JENNIFER GRIFFIN (Boyhood), ARIANNE MARTIN (Fancy Dance), BRANDON POTTER (The Chosen) and KENNEDY CELESTE in her first feature film role.
