One of the most important things to help market a movie is having a great trailer. A great poster is also super important, but that's a different topic we'll look at in a future post.
Now of course art is subjective and so is the word "great", but the fundamentals of what make a successful trailer usually boil down to these three main things:
A quick pace and tempo, not only with music, but the editing
Set the tone and use emotion (whether that's comedic or dramatic)
Tease the story without giving too much away

We're biased of course, but feel we did pretty well. :)
One other tip: Make sure to keep the runtime 2 minutes or under and you'll be on your way to having a great movie trailer.
