"Casey Makes A Mixtape" Now on Xumo Play (for FREE)

You can now watch our movie Casey Makes a Mixtape on Xumo Play, which is an ad-supported streaming platform owned by Comcast and Charter Communications that does not require a subscription - and it's free.
They have a variety of different channels for watching live TV, or on-demand shows - including movies. These platforms are called AVOD and/or FAST channels. AVOD is for on-demand and FAST works a lot like cable TV - the shows and movies actually play live throughout the day.
The easiest way to see our film on Xumo Play is on-demand, which is free to watch, but has commercials throughout its runtime. So it's more or less like cable TV redux. :)
Lots of people today have subscription fatigue and so the "free" streaming channels have definitely risen in popularity. The most well-known is probably Tubi, but there's also Pluto, Roku and others including Xumo Play. And these have become a great way for indie films to get seen.
(Btw, our movie will be on Tubi in the near future as well, with more platforms to be announced in the future - and we'll post about it here.)
Keep in mind, Casey Makes a Mixtape will most likely never be on Netflix or Hulu or HBO Max, etc. as those kind of platforms today are mainly comprised of studio movies or their own original movies and shows. There are some indies on there, but few and far between and usually only high-profile ones with bigger budgets and A-list actors.
You can watch Xumo Play movies online or on a mobile device, however, it's a MUCH BETTER experience watching it on TV. Think of it like you do with Netflix, Hulu, etc. – same idea here – enjoy it on a big screen.
All you have to do is download the app (which is free) from the streaming device you use like Roku, Amazon, Google or Apple TV. Or, you can simply download it directly to your Smart TV. Xumo Play is available on Hisense, LG, Samsung, Sony, and VIZIO models.
So if you haven't seen the film this is great way to check it out if you don't mind watching ads, or you can always watch it commercial-free by renting or buying it on Amazon, Apple TV, Fandando at Home, Google Play or YouTube Movies. And for physical media fans the film is also available to own on Blu-ray.
